“Drive Like Your Family Lives Here”
tells the stories of five families who have been devastated by traffic tragedy. While taxi driver training was the film’s initial purpose, the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) have both already committed to using it in their driving training programs, and other uses are in development. We encourage you to take this film’s message to heart and drive like your family lives here.
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as Food Stamps) helps people make ends meet and put healthy food on their tables!
Of the nearly 49 million Americans at risk of hunger, 9 million are seniors. Many seniors choose to pay for other necessities like medicine or rent over food when the budget gets tight, but this does not need to be the case. Government food assistance is not being utilized by nearly half of all eligible seniors. In response, LiveOn NY (formerly the Council of Senior Centers and Services), AARP Foundation, and the NYC Department for the Aging (DFTA) is offering free SNAP and SCRIE (Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption) application assistance at:
